...I do not "need" things to be happy. Things do not bring purpose or joy, but for only a short time (illusion). Only the essentials for survival is practical. All else is clutter and clouds my view of clarity. ...Of course.. True purpose and joy are found within : ) My dad doesn't know it, and wouldn't understand it, but I thank him for this : ) lol.. I have found a lessons out of something I used to think of as insane and mean. Though it Was insanity and meanness that came from my dad as the experiences unfolded. Dad would often go through our toy boxes and closets and just start throwing away stuff. Stuff me and my brother loved, and "needed"..while my mom stood there and cried. Now I see good lessons in it for me, as I watch my mother keep and hoard everything!! giving "things" so much meaning.. (cont'd)
