Look, I "get" the whole "religion = science = philosophy"-tactic. I know that it's bullsh|t, of course, but I COMPLETELY understand why it's in someone's interest to spread the BS on real nice & thick, my only counter-point is to appeal to the casual readers' (& deep thinkers') own common sense; @ SOME point, you have to sh|t - or get off the stool. If we did, the Republicans would be pushing it hard, just to get the advantage, because THEIR people crank-out the votes, any ambiguity ALWAYS benefits their side. DarkLife, marijuana is the strongest drug in the world to MY system! I'm not bragging here, (keep that in mind) I'm confessing to not having a whole lot of fun lately ~> I'm drug-free, I quit smoking, I don't drink or eat meat, I sold & gave away all my handguns, I quit the band, gave away my electric guitars & amps & I haven't had a new date in awhile, I recycle a couple of ex-girlfriends, (we recycle each other, more accurately) & I make some of my money doing web-work. I'm open to everything that can make a positive change to the status quo, if somebody can meditate the far-right out of existence, I'll put money in their offering plate or their prayer bell or whatever, hell, I'll join the flock & sing in the choir! ...but lacking any evidence of that, I suspect that neurological evolution, social awakening and applied education is the way to leave the conservatives behind, it's always worked in the past, 100% of the time. Karen & I didn't hit it off at first. (puttimng it politely!) I think it was largely just a "differing contexts"-thing. I think we're cool now, but - as with all relationships - one can only know & control ONE PART of it, our OWN part. I like debating with her, and I like it when we're in agreement too, I definitely percieve her as very smart and very honest.

I can't percieve of anything coming close to being "a Global Conscious" without what some people derisively refer to as "politics" - these are the actual rules of the way it all work & if we don't WANT a firm grasp of how the world really works, why bother becoming conscious AT ALL? If we can't arouse a healthy sustaining interest in the rules of the world, if we don't wish to become conscious of something as real & consequential as THAT then the rest of it is just noise & Spirituality is GC's requiem mass.
