goodnight everyone.
            -walter
And if it seems implausible that love, aka empathy, could be the solution to every problem, then try looking at it from the other direction; that is, the absence of empathy being the cause of every problem.
            -walter
Theory of Mind (ToM), and mirror neurons are two phrases used to describe the epathetic neural pathways if anyone's interested.
            -walter
The science of love is the neurology of empathy.
            -walter
I'm not sure if love is the answer to every question, though it might be. But I am sure it's the solution to every problem.
            -walter
Jimmy's a prophet. Goodnight everyone.
            -walter
Yeah Jimmy it is sad; friends don't really listen, teachers don't really teach, leaders don't really lead. It's not you - it's this world...
            -walter
i know you know that though, zeph.
            -walter
that was pete townsend, btw.
            -walter
here by the sea and sand, nothing ever goes as planned.
            -walter
and well if that how you feel, that's fine-but then what was the point of posting austen's remark, so we could all laugh at her?
            -walter
i was under the impression, that we farmed out most of our torture and interrogation work.
            -walter
christina onassis, was at the same time both one of the richest girls in the world and one of the most unhappy. ditto, doris duke.
            -walter
and jane austen apparently didn't get out very often.
            -walter
i'd say go ahead and post it, if you want my advice.
            -walter
mornin' all
            -walter
hallelujah, brother.
            -walter
they fear it, because they live and perpetuate a charade which has substituted fact, for truth. its only true if you can prove it, is their national anthem. they rely on a total blindspot toward what we have every right to see as a common sense of humanity they've seen what youve seen, theyve felt what youve felt, so how does their callousness made any sense? would they want you to be that way, if roles were reversed? thats only a question, because their brain damaged, and by what they are now giving out.
            -walter
unfortunately this gives short term social advantage at the expense of debt deferred over time. and geography. and culture. and generation. till now, they've simply been known as assholes. but then knowing only that hasnt done a whole to stop 'um now, has it. what they fear above all else, is merely truth. and that, you can tattoo that on your arm. it is, the truth.
            -walter
whenever a child manifests two beliefs which are still B)mutually exclusive with respect to each other, redundant empathetic architecture arises, because all social reasoning draws upon empathetic savvy, and thats true whether youre the predator or the prey. this parallel wiring becomes a very handy little switch that person A lets say , will throw to 'silent mode' for anyone 'B' through who's eyes(B's) they (A) look bad . oh, there, they feel bad. but then thats it. theyve learned to fake not feeling
            -walter
and the real problem, is its iice cold ntellectual psuedoempathy passing itself off as something its not, by first suggesting there's really only one form of empathy, and 'yur lookin' at it'. get past that, and you'll see the 'problem' is then ready to conceed to their being two, but they're both 'natural behavior', another lie. the empathy you see between a mother and an infant, that's the brand label. the other, is induced, culturally. and yes right -uh oh... culprits. shit. there's gunna be a fight.
            -walter
learn to recognize empathy as a physical act, no different than breathing. either you do it,, or you dont. and its not an invisible wind- it appears in neural images shot by fMRI's - mirror neurons. ToM , or theory of mind. but...response to other's behavior, happens in two separate places but never in both at once. in one, it's understood intellectually let's say, because n the other, it's clearly more an emotional experience. you feel it. -that , is empathy. and the first example, that is the problem.
            -walter
she had the right idea, but based it on the wrong motive. the key is, that there shouldn't be a motive. rand apparently felt she, or we, needed one. love, has no motive. and love is very simply empathy. plain vanilla empathy no sprinkles. just like you'd expect to find in any high school dictionary. its so simple, no one gets it.
            -walter
i do have to run too here's two differences between me and galt. which i think is only fair to add, one, i was once the very guy, who's ass i'm now up, with a microscope. second, i will and do live for others -unlike galt and rands army of objectivists- the only prerequisite requirement for my unquestioned willingness to step up someone being, their innocence. all kids get into that club free. no height restrictions.
            -walter
try coffee, sometimes that works for me. i knowest where thy comest from.
            -walter
hey whatever happened to that cup of coffee? did i leave it on a table somewhere, or did you forget about it, too?
            -walter
ayn rand that is. gtg, see you all.
            -walter
no i got it. well said. let me leave you with this, then i have to run out for a few hours. if youre ever curious about what planet i came from, somehow- my actual life, and the fictional life of the character john galt, from her book atlas shrugged, are more similar than most people would be willing to believe, that is based only on that me saying it is.
            -walter
it might have been ayn rand, but i cant say for sure.
            -walter
someone once said, all that evil needs to spread, is for good to do nothing.
            -walter
to see everything would be to judge nothing. it is our limited perspectives which all but force us into drawing comparisons as a substitute for absolute knowledge. the minute we decide we've seen far enough into something, we by default have judged it one way or the other, depending only then on how it looked when we stopped looking.
            -walter
my bigger concern though is the phenomenon where a person realizes or hears of something really standout ridiculous or terrible, but something inside steps in and says to them, "hey, if this was really as crazy as it sounds, all things considered, don't ya think you'd be learning about it in a much more loud and obvious way?,,, ya must be missing a key piece of the story. so look smart, and be quiet..." like say, the kitty genovese story. or the nazi germany wwII story. or native american indians.
            -walter
i guess i assumed that by saying it was all too much noise, what you meant was it was giving you a headache.but, that's more a reflection of my upbring than it is of you or f anything you said, trust me.
            -walter
iin all, ve spent very little time inside this sort of forum, and ill admit im still getting used to it. bear with me, if you will.
            -walter
well i didnt mean to cut in on your conversation, im sorry.
            -walter
does not light, illuminate darkness?
            -walter
i dont mean to be doom and gloom. its just that you'd mentioned cooperations collapsing beneath the weight of their own corruption. and i did have this weird thought, and so like i said, it seemed as though they might fit together in some small way. change the subject.
            -walter
is it just me, or does that sound to anyone else like it was a deleted scene from a movie like 'brazil'? when i think about it, sounds i dont know, immoral? corrupt? or like some kind of circus where we're down in the ring, and the corporate suits are up in the seats munching on popcorn and finding us all just so amusing...
            -walter
the point is, what if they did? or, do, i guess. im no expert in the field believe me... but think about that for a minute. companies like symantec and mcaffee i doubt are actually covert charities, the point being there's money in it to be made. so, you have the average MS antivirus customer paying MS, to protect them, that is the consumer, from vulnerabilities and the associated liabilities, arising from flaws is the other product they sold you, your computor.
            -walter
right. psuedophrends and psychophrends, yeah, you guys, there's this chatroom down the hall which i think is the one you were actually looking for... im kidding stay. youll get better. anyway. like i said, its early. here's the thought. microsoft has no product entry in the antivirus/antiwhatever market, but -it s a market that basically defines the word ubiquitous, a word that rarely fits any sentence. maybe im wrong, and maybe they do. but then, here's the point- coming right up...
            -walter
how about this one right here. you and i are philosophrends.
            -walter
no, but then i try not to miss too many chances where i see that i can make one up,
            -walter
its funny you should mention that butterfly, because i woke up this morning to a really from outta nowhere kind of thought but which fits right with what you said... now, i havent been up all that long, bear in mind. so, give me a little room here, ok?
            -walter
i was back there in the mail room.
            -walter
love a cup.
